What are you building?
A transparent acrylic, clear plastic, or material that is shaped like a bookmark where the top end has a clip or post-it adhesive material to make it hang at the top edge of the laptop or desktop. The bottom end which approximates to the middle of the laptop’s screen height has a micro camera, preferably a blue tooth and compatible for multiple operating systems. A USB will also work but it will be wired to connect to the plug.

What is the opportunity or problem your company addresses?
Make virtual communication effective, more relational, and definitely more life like when the interaction happens with eye to eye contact. This will make virtual meetings, online education classes, tutoring, and online family talks more immersive and give more value in terms of emotions.

Why are you the right people and company to solve this problem?
We placed first in our university innovation challenge competition and as an entrepreneurial management graduate, I have learned startup skills especially collaboration with people that have specific technical skills. My partner studied computer science and got a master’s education using information technology.

What is the current stage of your startup?
Beyond Concept/Idea

Please explain your current progress/traction (i.e. product, sales, fundraising).
We have developed several prototypes and currently in the product development and testing phase.

How will/do you generate revenue?
The sales of the product and the use of AI guided meetings and feedback to study eye to eye patterns of communications in a virtual setting.

How will you use the prize money from this competition to advance your company?
The money will be used for product development, testing with students and teachers, and the set-up of cloud based AI that observes and analyzes virtual eye to eye and facial communication.
